Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the cloud services provided by Archil, Inc. ("Archil", "we", "us"). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Cloud Service to store, distribute, or transmit:
- Content that infringes or misappropriates any third party's intellectual property rights
- Content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Malware, viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious code
- Content that violates any applicable law or regulation, including export control and sanctions laws
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or content that exploits minors
- Content that promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activities
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Cloud Service to:
- Conduct or facilitate cryptocurrency mining operations
- Send unsolicited communications, spam, or phishing messages
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Cloud Service, other accounts, computer systems, or networks
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Cloud Service or other users' use of it
- Circumvent any usage limits, quotas, or access controls
- Resell, redistribute, or provide access to the Cloud Service to third parties without authorization
- Use the Cloud Service in a manner that creates a security vulnerability or exposes other users to risk
- Perform vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, or load testing against the Cloud Service without prior written approval
3. Resource Usage
You agree to use the Cloud Service in a manner consistent with its intended purpose as a cloud filesystem. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend access if your usage negatively impacts the performance or availability of the Cloud Service for other customers.
4. Compliance
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Cloud Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to data protection laws, export controls, and sanctions.
5. Enforcement
If we determine that you have violated this AUP, we may take action including but not limited to:
- Issuing a warning and requesting remediation
- Suspending or restricting your access to the Cloud Service
- Removing prohibited content
- Terminating your account in accordance with the Terms of Service
Where feasible, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Cloud Service, other customers, or comply with legal requirements.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@archil.com.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days notice of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "last updated" date.
